MATCH HAS BEEN CANCELLED
We regret to inform you that we have decided to cancel our match on Wednesday March 25th.
The safety of our shooters is always our number one priority. With the current global pandemic, the board felt that moving forward with the match puts everyone at an unnecessary risk.
Future events will be considered on a case-by-case basis so please make sure to check our Facebook page and website for more information.
Board of Directors
You are invited to our next match, which will be held Wednesday, July 25!
The match will take place at On Target Range, 560 Beechcraft Lane, Crystal Lake, IL 60012.
Match preparation and setup start at 6 pm. The match will start as soon as setup is complete.
Pre-registration is required and walk-ins will be turned away.
Prior action pistol competition experience and/or formal training in drawing from a holster and shooting on the move is required to participate. We reserve the right to refuse participation if you cannot provide evidence of this, or if you are shooting in an unsafe manner. New Shooter Orientation will not be held at this match.
General pre-registration will open Sunday, 7/22, at 8 PM, and close on Tuesday 7/24, at 8 PM. There is a pre-registration limit, and the match may sell out very quickly after general registration begins.
Note: Shooters who participated in the first match this month may register for this match starting Tuesday 7/24 at 8 AM if slots are available. There is a specific ticket type for second-match registration. This is to keep opportunities open for the most shooters. We will cancel registrations of second-time registrants who incorrectly pre-register early.
We’re sorry that we can’t accommodate everyone who would like to participate in our matches – there is a hard limit on how many people can safely compete in the range time we have.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but the January 21 classifier is cancelled. All registrations will be refunded.
Yesterday, IDPA released several rules changes, including removal of penalties for movement. It is unclear whether this change applies to the classifier in the current rule book. Moreover, a new classifier (the ‘5×5’) was released. Due to these changes and lack of clarity, it would be prudent to cancel the classifier and reschedule when the rules are clear on which classifier to use, how to adjudicate it, and how to submit the scores to IDPA.
For information about these changes, please see the IDPA blog posts below.
